Residential Wells
Residential water wells are vital for rural communities and often essential in urban settings. While many rural areas rely solely on drilled water wells, numerous homeowners prefer private wells over commercial water hookups or require a private well for irrigation or livestock needs. Whatever the reason for needing a residential or commercial water well, M&R Well Drilling is here to assist.
We drill residential wells at a diameter of 6 inches, installing PVC casing down to the rock layer. Drilling continues until a reliable water supply is secured. On average, a family uses around 400 gallons of water daily. If your residential well also supplies water for irrigation, a deeper well might be necessary to meet higher water demands. For wells with inadequate water production, hydrofracking can be an effective solution to enhance water yield.

Commercial Wells
Our commercial wells typically feature a 6” diameter and are designed to support communities, commercial manufacturing companies, large farms, and ranches. These wells are usually drilled deeper to ensure a higher volume of water. We install commercial-grade pumps from F&S Pumps or Grundfos in these systems, which are engineered for longer life and higher flow volumes. M&R Well Drilling assists in determining the appropriate well depth and pump system tailored to your needs. Additionally, we can install reserve water storage tanks and water lines to enhance your system's capabilities.
Irrigation Wells
An irrigation well offers an alternative solution for watering your landscaping and garden, especially popular due to recent droughts and restrictions on county/city water usage. These wells can be connected to your home or business, as well as your irrigation system. You can maintain your connection to county/city water with an installed cutoff that allows easy switching when needed.
We typically drill 6” residential wells for irrigation purposes. A standard residential irrigation system requires around 25 gallons per minute (gpm) to cover all zones, while commercial systems may need 100-125 gpm. M&R Well Drilling assists in determining the necessary water volume for your irrigation needs and engineers the most efficient system possible. If a well does not produce the required gpm, we can enhance it through hydrofracking or by installing cistern tanks for water storage. In some cases, both methods are employed to achieve optimal results.
